There are hundreds of reasons why someone would like his or her tattoo removed. It is estimated that over 10 million Americans have at least on tattoo and about half of them regret it later and want to have it removed.
Some of the reasons for tattoo removal are:
- tattoo is holding you back from getting a job you want
- gang related tattoos (if you are no longer associating yourself with that gang)
- past love and now you have a new special person in your life
those are just most common reasons but as I mentioned earlier there are 100s of other reasons people might have. What ever your reason might be I would suggest you consider all options available to you.
1. Laser Removal
This is the most common method today. This is a process where highly concentrated light breaks the ink into tiny fragments which are than cleared away by your own immune system. It will take more than one session and not only it is painful process but it can be very painful for your pocket. Depending of the tattoo size you might need anywhere from 1 to 10 sessions, each costing you in a range of $200 to $800 per session. Experts in laser tattoo removal therapy say that technology has advanced since its introduction and now scarring is minimal, sometimes even non-existant, but this can vary depending on the situation.
2. Intense Pulsed Light Therapy or (IPL)
Instead of laser light like in laser therapy, it uses high intensity light in pretty much the same manner. First gel is applied to the skin and then a wand is used to emit pulses of light. This method is less painful than laser therapy and it is said to be more effective. Therefore, it has a heftier price tag, one clinic offering a price of $10 per pulse. Depending on how many pulses per session your tattoo requires, this could add up to a significant amount of money.
3. Do-It-Yourself Removals
Personally I think this is very cheap and effective method of getting rid of your unwanted tattoo. According to (W.T.A.) research only WreckingBalm® System did show significant fading of the tattoos without any pain or damage to the skin.
If you really need a tattoo removed and don’t have the money for surgery, I guess it wouldn’t hurt to try it out yourself.

My advice is “think before you get ink”… so you can avoid pain of removal

hello Mike,i have had this method done myself and it really works after 2 session’s the tattoo was just about gone but i found it to be very painfull getting it done and very painfull on the pocket but hey it really works for anyone going to have this done i found the best way is to ask for a needle to numb the area you are having done.
thanks for the info it would seem we have a lot of young people who regret tats at a younger age and are looking for removels or cover ups i am not happy doinng the cover except in the wright situation but i see that the pain free removel system has good recs, would you recomend it yourselves if so i will pass on that you recomend and purchase for customers
My comment is short and simple. If you want a tattoo, think it out and make sure you like it. If you don’t like it, cover it. I have many tattoos. I use 1 artist. Mine are here to stay.
Never any name any where..Especially girlfriends or wives.
